Free Concerts, Outdoor Movies Continue Across LI Parks Through August

TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, NY — Long Island residents can continue to cozy up with a blanket, chair, and food to enjoy music and movies this summer under the stars. The Town of Oyster Bay's "Music Under the Stars" and "Movies by Moonlight" programs continue into August.

Town officials announced that the popular seasonal programs will return to parks across Oyster Bay, Massapequa, Farmingdale, and Woodbury throughout the month, featuring tribute bands, country music acts, family-friendly films, and community events.

The August lineup includes performances celebrating artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Phil Collins, Genesis, the Allman Brothers Band, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and The Rolling Stones.

Among the featured events are a Country Fest concert on Aug. 3 at John J. Burns Town Park in Massapequa, National Night Out festivities on Aug. 4, and outdoor screenings of Cars and Hoppers on Aug. 6 and Aug. 13.
