Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. At Long Island Swim School, we teach children to swim the same way the best in the world do. By using age-appropriate, proven techniques children build real skills in kick, pull, body position, and breath control. The Calling Bell

The Life Forest is an exploration of the author’s late-diagnoses of autism and ADHD, while drawing deeply on nature and animals as sources of inspiration, connection, and kinship. Here inner and outer landscapes are weaved together, integrating personal and familial experience, and self-understanding with interrelationship.
Through these poems, Erica Settino investigates themes such as ancestry and inheritance, facing the unknown, interconnection as the foundation of all of life, and believing in the power of hope as the place from which we can begin again, and again, and again.Limited copies of the book will be available for sale at the event. Copies can also be purchased directly from the publisher. Event will include a reading, discussion with optional Q &amp; A, and book signing.&nbsp;Erica Settino is a neuroqueer, late-diagnosed AuDHDer, author, artist, and activist whose work has been published in numerous print and online literary journals, anthologies, magazines, and blogs. She is the founder of the non-profit organization, Karuna For Animals, and the author of two forthcoming books, My Mommy Is a Witch, and Autistic Arcana: A Neurodivergent Approach to Tarot Magick.
