Get Spooked Oct. 30 with "War of the Worlds"
Sci Fi radio drama with songs from the era continues unique partnership between Port Washington Play Troupe and WCWP (88.1FM).

Play Troupe‘s Fall Radio Drama Series, produced in ongoing partnership with WCWP (88.1 FM, the community public radio station of LIU Post), continues just in time to terrify Earth for Halloween -- with War of the Worlds at 8pm on Thursday, October 30.
The performance will be recorded in front of a live studio audience at the Hillwood Recital Hall, a venue of the Tilles Center at LIU Post (720 Northern Boulevard, Greenvale, NY 11548), for later broadcast.
In H.G. Wells’ famous science fiction novel of the same name, Martians invade Earth and terrify the populace. The story was told most infamously on the air by Orson Welles in 1938, initially leading listeners to believe the events of the story were real. This adaptation of the 1953 film aired in 1955.
Studio audience tickets are $10. Project Independence members pay $8. Tickets are available for purchase online in advance at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/800495
