Labate Announces Congressional Run
The Deer Park resident says he will run in the race for 3rd Congressional District in 2014 election.
Stephen Labate of Deer Park announced on Thursday his candidacy for Congress in New York’s 3rd Congressional District in 2014.
A financial advisor and Iraq War veteran from Deer Park, Labate was defeated by Rep. Steve Israel, D-Huntington, when he ran on the Republican ticket in 2012.
Government spending, economic growth and bipartisanship are key areas on which Labate said would focus if elected.
