Landscaper Electrocuted By Power Line On Long Island: PD
He died while cutting tree branches Friday afternoon, police say.
GLEN HEAD, NY — A landscaper was electrocuted by a nearby power line in Glen Head Friday, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the incident took place at 4:15 p.m. Detectives said the man, 34, was working in a tree at a construction site, cutting a tree branch with a chainsaw, when he was electrocuted by a nearby power line and died at the scene.
He was pronounced deceased by a Nassau County police medic, authorities said.

A 51-year-old male coworker was injured while attempting to help the deceased, police said. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities added.
