Man Killed After Crashing Car Into Tree In Oyster Bay Cove

A man was killed after his vehicle struck a tree on Monday morning in Oyster Bay Cove, police say.

According to authorities, a 39-year-old man was driving a 2009 Toyota east on North Hempstead Turnpike, near Berry Hill Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at 8:29 a.m.

The driver, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Oyster Bay Police responded to the scene and were assisted by Nassau County Second Precinct police officers.

Police do not suspect criminality and the investigation is ongoing.
