OYSTER BAY, NY — Police have arrested an Oyster Bay man who they say became enraged that a 7-Eleven store wasn't serving food and slashed a worker with a knife.

Around 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Frank Mejia walked into the store on Pine Hollow Road and asked a worker for a pizza, Nassau County police said. When he was told the shop wasn't selling food, an angry Mejia followed the employee behind a counter and into a back room marked employees only.

That's when he became physically aggressive towards the worker, taking out a knife and repeatedly swinging it at the employee, police said. The attacker then followed the worker out of the store.
