Update: Woman Struck on Pine Hollow Road Dies
Police confirm woman died of injuries Tuesday afternoon after being struck on Oyster Bay road.

A woman who was struck by a car in Oyster Bay Tuesday afternoon has reportedly died of her injuries.
Nassau County Police confirmed Wednesday morning that Margaret Bolanos, 82, of East Norwich, died at a local hospital from injuries she sustained after being struck on Pine Hollow Road in East Norwich.
Detectives reported that at about 1:58 p.m., Bolanos was crossing Pine Hollow Road near the Pine Hill Terrace intersection when she was struck by a 1998 Toyota. The driver 29-year-old male driver was headed northbound, cops said.

Bolanos suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead by doctors at 2:35 p.m., police said.
The car was impounded for brake and safety checks, cops reported.

Detectives did not specify a cause of the accident, but said they suspect no criminality in the incident. The driver of the Toyota has not yet been identified.
Pine Hollow Road was reportedly closed off as the investigation was performed. The road was finally reopened at 5:40 p.m., police reported.
