Police Report Drop in Car Vandalism

Four reports of cars damaged and vandalized near Oyster Bay.

Reports of car vandalism dropped in the Oyster Bay area last week, cops said.

According to Nassau County Police, four incidents of car vandalism were reported in the Second Precinct last week, with just two reported in the northern side of the precinct.

Cars in Syosset, Westbury, and Levittown were targeted by vandals in both residential and commercial areas. Three of the four cars were scratched, while a car in Levittown was reportedly found with slashed tires.

Incidents last week were also tamer than recent reports where police said cars had broken windshields and in one case, dog feces smeared on victims' cars.
