A source told Patch that the man and woman were husband and wife. Police said the two lived together in the apartment.
Annie Wilkinson, a resident in the same complex, told Patch in an email that she returned home at 5 p.m. and was informed by an officer that the incident was a domestic violence case between a man and a woman and that the man was the one who called police.

"The policeman also said that the man wanted to kill himself after killing his wife, and was mentally ill and should have been in a hospital," Wilkinson said.
"This is an extremely safe, quiet, friendly complex, so we are all saddened and shocked by the news," she said. "Wishing peace for the woman who was killed and for her loved ones."
A missing person notice by the Long Island Press says Ducker was reported missing in July 2015 and was in need of medication.
