Young Historians Voyaged Back In Time To The Age Of Exploration

OYSTER BAY-EAST NORWICH, NY — Students from James H. Vernon Elementary School transported in time to the Age of Exploration.

These elementary students investigated key figures, voyages, and obstacles they faced, and created presentations to showcase to their classmates. They worked in groups to put together a trifold of a historical journey.

On Jan. 30, they showed their creativity and historical knowledge by designing games, Canva slide decks, original poems, skits, graphic novels, and news-style reports.
