“These three jurors will put together three separate shows from a group of extremely talented entrants from around the world. I think this will create our best exhibition yet,” said Larry Greenberg, co-chair of the Alumni Exhibition who is also the founder of Studio 10, located in Bushwick.
Many of the artists will welcome guest visits to their studios, which can be arranged by contacting Natacha Rousseau. According to Michael Tcheyan, co-chair of the Alumni Exhibition, “The opportunity to form a lifelong friendship with an artist, and support their efforts at the studio level is a uniquely rewarding way to participate in today’s art scene.”

About The New York Studio School
The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture occupies the building that housed the original Whitney Museum of American Art, located in the heart of Greenwich Village. The School was founded in 1964 by Mercedes Matter and grew to prominence through the efforts of art luminaries such as Philip Guston, Willem de Kooning, Alex Katz, and Milton Resnick. That powerful heritage continues today. Our current dean, the painter Graham Nickson, believes in strong advocacy for an artist’s unique sensibility developed through a disciplined studio practice, along with programs like the renowned Evening Lecture Series, the Drawing Marathons, and the Masters and Certificate programs, which have become synonymous with the present day School.
