Annual 'Doggy Dress-Up Fashion Parade' Coming To Park Slope

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A season of free weekend activities along Fifth Avenue will head out with a bang — or, more like a bark — this weekend with the last of the summer strolls in Park Slope.

This weekend's summer stroll, a series of car-free weekends in August, will bring back Freddy's Bar annual "Doggy Fashion Parade," where Slopers can dress up their pets and come get a free photo at the Fifth Avenue bar.

The Saturday stroll will be the third and final in this season's line-up. The past few weeks the weekend walks have offered a family fun night, dancing in the street and the annual Artichoke Pizza eating contest.

And the "Hangin' with the Hounds" happy hour, which will include giveaways and an outdoor beer garden, is only the beginning of what the last summer stroll has to offer.

After the 5 p.m. fashion show, strollers can enjoy 80s disco music from DJCProdg, free fitness classes on the turf, free faceprinting, a bouncy house, giant games and a vintage car show.
