Brooklyn Premiere of The Economics of Happiness

The Park Slope United Methodist Church premieres The Economics of Happiness, which describes governments promoting globalization and corporate power, while communities worldwide are trying to build more human scale, ecological economies based on a new paradigm.

The documentary will be shown following at potluck dinner. Guest speakers include Tom Angotti, the award-winning author of New York For Sale: Community Planning Confronts Global Real Estate,  Dr. Michael Menser, a member of the Participatory Budgeting Project and US Solidarity Network, and Karen Oh, a graphic designer living in Prospect Lefferts Garden, who helped start the Community Supported Agriculture program in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

The event is co-sponsored by the Park Slope United Methodist Church Social Action Committee and the Brooklyn Food Coalition.
