
The 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) presents a unique synthesis of mind and body approaches producing insights that enable us to transform our relationship to stress. We practice assignments from week to week that fine tune our awareness through direct experience. Breathing and walking meditations, the body scan, yoga/mindful movement, communication techniques, combine with group discussions in an atmosphere of trust. This course is modeled on the program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center where Paulette Graf trained (see www.mindfulnessmeditationnyc.com for further info).
