Why are you holding that femur captive in such a tight hip joint? Give it the space it deserves! In this 2 hour workshop, delve deeper into Yamuna Body Rolling beyond the basics introduced during the Introduction to Yamuna Body Rolling Workshops. Using the small black ball you will systematically unwind the hip joint starting from the ischium and working down the femur on all sides. By using the smallest of the Yamuna balls you can work with more detail and specificity around the entire hip complex including the pubic bone and pelvic crest. It is recommended that you have some prior Yamuna Body Rolling experience before participating in this workshop. This workshop is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant, has had a bladder or uterine lift or a Gore-Tex soft tissue patch for hernia.
Eli McAfee is an ACE certified personal trainer and an accomplished modern dancer, having performed with David Gordon, Pilobolus, Big Apple Circus, and Elizabeth Streb, among other choreographers and dance companies. Drawing on his dance background, Eli provides individualized program design with a deep understanding of form and function. Eli earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from the Illinois Wesleyan University and a Masters of Arts in Dance from the Ohio State University. He is a certified Yamuna Body Rolling instructor, having completed both phase 1 and phase 2 certifications.
