In this 3-hour workshop, led by Beth Donnelly Caban, expecting moms learn labor coping strategies while partners gain practical labor support skills. We will explore positions and movements that encourage labor's progress, as well as breath and touch as means to induce relaxation and relieve pain. When the mind is calm and free from fear, the body is able to give birth with greater ease. We will practice relaxation techniques and visualizations for labor and birth and examine the universal needs of laboring women. This workshop includes practice as well as discussion.
