Learn about the structure of the spine, the anatomy of scoliosis and how it affects one’s physiology and health. Yoga asanas and principles of sequencing will be practiced and modified for different curvatures and pain issues. Participants will learn how to develop a yoga practice which specifically addresses their own patterns and needs using awareness and alignment.
The morning program will focus more on anatomy and physiology as well as demonstration of physiological principles and basic asana to change patterns. This session can stand alone.
The afternoon will be mainly asana (yoga poses) based with suggestions for home practice, pose modifications and props usage. It is recommended that you take the afternoon session on its own only if you have participated in the morning or have participated in Deborah’s Yoga & Scoliosis workshop in the past.
