The popular sale at Park Slope United Methodist Church gives out more than 10,000 books each year.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN â A book sale that has been around for more than a quarter-century will return next week to Park Slope United Methodist Church.
The sale, set to open with a preview night on Thursday, Feb. 21, will offer everything from children's classics to rare first-edition books for the more serious collectors. In past years, the sale has sold more than 10,000 books in its four-day run.
"Called 'one of the most beloved annual events in the neighborhood,' the Book Sale enters its 2nd quarter-century this month," the organizers said on their Facebook page. "Past customers plucked up cutting edge contemporary fiction, from Atwood and Adichie to Zadie Smith, as well as rare first editions by Emily Dickinson or John Ashbery (and) 19th century masterworks in French and German."
