Fundraising Campaign to Help Mother Hit By Truck
Friends of the severely injured mother are raising money to help ease the financial burden the hit-and-run has caused.

A mother who pushed her child’s stroller to safety before she was run over by a truck on the Upper West Side on Monday faces months of rehabilitation due to her injuries.
Wendy Ruther was on her way to drop her 4-year-old son off at preschool when she was run over by the truck at West 65th Street and Broadway around 9 a.m., DNAinfo reported.
The truck ran over Ruther, breaking her pelvis and femur bones, before it drove off.

The driver of the truck has not been identified, according to DNAinfo.
Ruther’s injuries require months of rehabilitation.

A financial campaign was set up for Ruther to assist her with the financial burden this accident has caused her.
Wendy Ruther’s fundraising page on YouCaring has already raised $4,355 with a goal of $50,000.
The funds raised will help Ruther pay for medical expenses, child care and other related costs.
