Intro to Watercolor

Intro to Watercolor at Kids Design the World in Prospect Heights!

This is an introductory Watercolor class for 6-9 year old's which covers the basics of watercolor; including several simplified watercolor techniques such as salt, resist, and other painting basics like wet on wet, wet on dry, and washes. Watercolor is a freeing medium offering room to play for the young experimental artist. With careful guidance and gentle instruction, your child will be given practice sheets to try various watercolor techniques first. Then, students will be given a large sheet of heavy weight paper for their end of class painting. The end of class painting will be geared towards landscape colors and shapes, with a lot of room for student exploration and individualization. This class is a great way for students to build relationships with other artists and meet children who are like-minded. They are encouraged to borrow ideas and interact with one another artist-to-artist.This a great class for all students blooming with creative energy!

**All classes are catered to meet the needs and strengths of any student; all levels welcomed.

This is a drop off class!
