Man Beaten By Group, Robbed Of $1.7K In Atlantic Avenue Station: NYPD
Several people jumped the turnstiles and punched the man before stealing about $1,700 from him, police said.
BROOKLYN, NY — A group of people beat up a man in the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station and robbed him of nearly $2,000, police said.
On Saturday, May 21 about 7:30 p.m., one person walked up to the 31-year-old man in the station and asked for money to buy a metro card, according to the NYPD.
Meanwhile, three other people jumped the turnstiles and ran to where the man was standing, starting to punch his body, police said.

The people stole about $1,700 from the man, and then ran off, according to the NYPD.
Police, who released a photo from the incident, are still looking for the group as of Wednesday.

The man was hurt a little bit by the attack, but didn't need medical help on the scene, police said.
