Man Shoved Onto Subway Tracks In Random Brooklyn Attack: Cops
Police are searching for a suspect who shoved a straphanger onto the tracks at the 36th Street station Sunday morning.

BROOKLYN, NY — A straphanger was shoved onto the tracks in an apparent random attack inside a subway station near Green-Wood Cemetery, police said.
Police are searching for a suspect after a man was pushed onto the subway tracks during an early-morning incident at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened shortly before 5 a.m. on Jan. 18, as the 35-year-old victim stood on the southbound R platform. Authorities said the man was suddenly approached from behind and forcefully shoved him off the platform.

Police said the victim managed to get out of harm’s way before an incoming train arrived.
Authorities added that the victim was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn and was reported to be in stable condition.

Images of the suspect have been released, and no arrests had been announced as of Tuesday morning.
