SAT Prep Being Offered at Project Reach Youth (PRY). (Park Slope, Brooklyn)

The Next Step College and Career Center, with Project Reach Youth (PRY)/Lutheran Family Health Centers, was created in 2012 to work with both GED and high school students and their path to college or any kind of post-secondary option. Currently, we work alongside high school/guidance counselors to assist with the rather large caseloads they manage. Within our program, we offer SAT prep, 1 on 1 college advisement, college trips, workshops, and overall college exposure. Through curriculum we work alongside students and parents to successfully navigate the college process.

We here at PRY want to take the time to inform all of you of our program and how your students can get involved. What sparks the most interest is our SAT preparation class we offer here at our site.

• Students who participate experience an increase of 150-170 points on their exam
• Our first fall cycle of SAT prep begins on Monday, February 23th and will end on Thursday, April 17th.
• SAT prep will be held every Monday (Verbal) and Thursday (Math), 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Students are REQUIRED to attend both classes, No exceptions.
• Orientation will be held on Wednesday, February 18th at 6:00 pm. As a student, you are required to attend orientation with a parent, and your most recent transcript, a copy of your SAT/PSAT scores.
• If SAT’s have not been taken, before registration, students will be required to take our diagnostic exam, which will be held on Thursday, February 19th at 4:00pm. It is required that you take the diagnostic exam in order to start the class.
• There is a $200.00 fee for the class/8 week cycle
