Saturday, May 14—NYC's favorite family street fair returns at PS 295, 18th St./6th Ave. in Brooklyn
Cool vehicles, food trucks, crafts, free activities, music, and more
On Saturday, May 14, 2016 the PTA of PS 295 – The Studio School of Arts & Culture will present the sixth annual Touch-a-Truck Brooklyn event (www.ps295.org/pta/touch-a-truck-2016/). At this unique street fair, NYC kids and their families will get up close and personal with a wide variety of emergency vehicles, construction equipment, vintage vehicles, and other cool rigs. Food trucks, bouncy houses, music, crafts, free activities, and more round out the day. Touch-a-Truck Brooklyn is a fundraiser to support academic, arts, and enrichment programs at PS 295.

* Where: 18th St between 6th/7th Aves. in South Park Slope, Brooklyn
* Tickets: $8 per person (no charge for infants worn or carried by their parent)
Touch-a-Truck Brooklyn is sponsored by local businesses including Giocare Playschool, School of Rock, Amerikick, Roots Cafe, Park Slope Plumbing Supply, Hootenanny Art House, Janzen Communications, Kings Bay Y, Union Market, Beansprouts, Slope Pediatrics, Paul's Signs, and Einstein's Plumbing and Heating.

Confirmed participants include an NYC MTA Vintage Bus, FDNY Ladder 122, a Paul's Signs bucket truck, an NYPD van, a Big Sasco Tool Rental lift, antique cars, an NYC Parks front-end loader, the Chip Shop three-wheeler, a Park Slope Volunteer Ambulance, Einstein's Plumbing & Heating, the Sean Casey Animal Adoption Van, a Verizon cube truck, a Junkluggers truck, and a Citywide Enterprises tow truck, and more join the list every week.
Food will be available from favorite local food trucks including Gorilla Cheese, Yogo, Kimchi Taco, and Butterstein's.
Activities include outdoor sand play offered by Giocare; the Beansprouts Make-a-Truck art center; the Kings Bay Y fitness center; the Slope Pediatrics Babyspace; the Amerikick DJ Booth; and a free demo by School of Rock Brooklyn, in addition to face painting, bouncy houses, hard hat giveaways, a raffle station, and a new Touch-a-Truck tee shirt.
Presented annually since 2011, Touch-a-Truck Brooklyn draws more than 3,000 guests each year. The event is staged along the entire length of a city block as well as interior and exterior spaces at PS 295 with a variety of activities to ensure a great day for all.
