A Unique Approach to Fitness - Try a free class! Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Breath/Meditation work, & Movement Awareness

'Awaken Integrative Movement' is a multidimensional, holistic movement and fitness training that benefits people of all ages and abilities.

If you are passionate and curious about martial arts, performing arts, unconventional training, and holistic self improvement you should definitely check out this workshop!

Awaken Integrative Movement uses functional exercises drawn from martial arts, dance, yoga, parkour, hand to hand combat, ground acrobatics, tricking, kettlebell, club training, breathing/meditation exercises and much more to provide holistic fitness education for better living. We want you to learn movement you can use everyday.

Local fitness trainer Benjamin Liu is celebrating the launch of his new fitness company AwakenIM (Awaken Integrative Movement) by offering a free inaugural class!

Come help us celebrate the launch of this great fitness company in the neighborhood by stopping by this next Wednesday, April 20, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in Crown Heights (893 Bergen Street @ Classon, Unit 5).

You will learn breathing and movement techniques that will help you move with ease through the world and enhance your physical and mental performance in whatever you do.

Class breakdown will be one hour and a half of Systema, a unique Russian Martial Arts training, followed by 30 minutes of Feldenkrais training . Feldenkrais is an approach to human movement based on principles of physics, neurology, and physiology. Feldenkrais uses slow and gentle movements to help teach you to use your body more effectively and has a range of benefits including therapeutic healing and physical therapy to enhancing athletic performance and improved concentration and coordination in all sorts of performing and visual arts.

Group discussion and beverages to follow after the class!!

All levels, ages, body types and physical fitness backgrounds are welcome!
