What Do You Think Should Replace the Pink?

The pink building on Garfield Place will soon become a horse of a different color after being sold for $2.75 million to an unidentified buyer, according to a report in the Daily News.
The new owner of the building at 233 Garfield Place checked with the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission to make sure they would be able to paint over the pink, the realtor who helped make the deal told the paper.
The LPC needed to be consulted on the possibility of a paint job because the building between Seventh and Eighth avenues falls within the Park Slope Historic District.
“I don’t have an attachment to the pink,” a neighbor in the building next door, who asked be identified only as Joel, told Patch. “It calls a lot of attention itself.”
