You Can Soon Get Brooklyn's Smorgasburg Favorites Delivered
The food festival, which switched to a to-go format amid the coronavirus crisis, will start delivery of some of its vendors next week.
BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklynites will soon be able to get a taste of the borough's most popular food festival without leaving their homes.
Smorgasburg — which typically brings crowds to East River State Park and Prospect Park for outdoor food markets — announced this week that a delivery service will be added to their new "Smorg To Go" format, which scaled the festival to takeout-only due to the coronavirus crisis.
"Our markets have always been about sharing, bringing people together, and connecting in a free and open public space. We are confident that this strong spirit will persevere, and we hope this attempt will provide a little slice of that when we all need it, badly," organizers said about "Smorg To Go"
