YOUNG ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES @ BAX (ages 8-12)

BAX |Brooklyn Arts Exchange offers a variety of programs for young artists (ages 8-12). These programs offer students an opportunity to deepen their technical skills and practice as performers, creators and collaborators in their chosen discipline. All classes culminate in fall and spring term student concert performances in the BAX Theater. Visit us or call 718-832-0018 to learn how you can get involved.

DANCE AT BAX is rooted in modern dance traditions and uses concepts, imagery, form, and rhythm to progress students technically and creatively. Composition and choreography are vehicles for self-discovery, while collaborative partner and group work create a dynamic community in the studio. Dance at BAX includes Modern (LEVELS I -IV), Ballet and Hip Hop Jazz, Latin, Boy’s Movement and the Young Women’s Project.

THEATER AT BAX capitalizes on the strong movement tradition at BAX, developing and harnessing the physicality that makes for a dynamic theater artist. Theater classes build vocal, movement, and improvisational skills through technique exercises, storytelling, and creative games. In an imaginative environment, students tackle different creative roles, including playwright, actor, director and designer.
