1 Arrested In Connection With North Bellport Hit-And-Run That Hurt Pedestrian: Police

The person was taken to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, cops say.

NORTH BELLPORT, NY — A Bellport man was charged in connection with a hit-and-run that hurt a pedestrian in North Bellport on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.

The man was behind the wheel of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian at the intersection of North Dunton Avenue and Montauk Highway at around 6:42 p.m., according to police.

The person was taken to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The man, 35, was charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting, a misdemeanor, according to police.
