2 Hurt From Stove-top Grease Fire At New Village In Patchogue: Police

A 36-year-old woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment, Suffolk police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Two people were hurt after hot grease sparked a fire on a stovetop in Patchogue on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.

The fire started at around 8 p.m. at New Village, and was extinguished upon the arrival of officers and the fire department, according to police.

A 36-year-old woman, who lives at the location, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of minor burns on her right hand, police said.
