Police ID 3 Teens Killed When Stolen Car Crashed On Long Island
Two died at the scene, while the third was pronounced dead at Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue, Suffolk cops say.
BROOKHAVEN, NY — Three teens in a stolen car died when it crashed into a utility pole on Long Island on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
Just before 8 p.m., Justin Harris was speeding in a 2019 Chrysler 300 westbound on Montauk Highway when he lost control of the vehicle and it struck a utility pole outside the Brookhaven Fire Department's headquarters, according to police.
Harris, 18, of Coram, and a rear passenger, Zyyel Thomas, 15, of Mastic Beach died at the crash scene, said police, adding that 17-year-old Mastic Beach resident, Javon Green, was taken to Long Island Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Chrysler, stolen from Yaphank on Sept. 5, was impounded, police said.
No one else was injured in the crash.
