The patients were taken to South Shore University Hospital with minor injuries, Suffolk Deputy Fire Coordinator Jamie Atkinson said.

BAY SHORE, NY — Four people were taken to South Shore University Hospital after two boats collided in Great South Bay near Bay Shore Marina on Saturday night, said Suffolk County Deputy Fire Coordinator Jamie Atkinson.

At about 11:14 p.m., the two boats collided about one-quarter mile south of the marina, and the operators were able to make it to two different marinas without assistance, Atkinson said.

One boat went to Bay Shore Marina where the Bay Shore Fire Department and Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance responded, said Atkinson, adding, that the two passengers on board were treated then transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with “minor injuries.”
