The Patchogue Village Board of Trustees set August 22 as the date for the public hearing regarding a at Monday’s meeting.
An application to cancel the non-conforming use of the building was put forth by Keith Panzner, who owns a duplicate building and is interested in financing the restoration process.
“The building had been closed because it was dangerous and uninhabitable, they revoked the certification of occupancy quite a while ago. The non-conforming use will allow them to re-open it for apartment housing and make the necessary renovations,” Village Attorney Brian Egan said.
