MEDFORD, NEW YORK—Two Patchogue-Medford High School stars were recently named to Newsday’s list of the top 100 Long Island high school softball players for the 2026 season. Junior first baseman Ahria Treschl and sophomore pitcher Arianna Kelly-Weihberg were recognized for their outstanding performances in 2025 and their anticipated level of achievement this season.
“Congratulations to Ahria and Arianna on this prominent recognition,” said Patchogue-Medford High School varsity softball head coach Alexa D'Onofrio. “We are looking forward to a strong season with both of them helping lead the team.”
In the 2025 season, Ahria tallied 32 RBIs and nine doubles, leading the Raiders in both statistical categories. She hit .473 with three home runs and 13 extra-base hits. She was named a Newsday weekly Diamond Star last season for her memorable game-tying grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning in Patchogue-Medford’s 11-9 victory against Longwood High School.
Arianna was named the League I Pitcher of the Year last season as a freshman. She earned a 13-3 record on the mound with 100 strikeouts and three shutouts.
