Suffolk To Treat Marshes Across South Shore For Mosquito Larvae

HAUPPAUGE, NY — The Suffolk County Department of Public Works’ Division of Vector Control will treat parts of the marshes along the South Shore to control mosquito larvae.

The application will take place from Tuesday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will consist of low-altitude helicopter using granular pellets of VectoPrime FG, otherwise known as Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, and Altosid, or Methopren.
