PATCHOGUE, NY — An armed robber made off with cash from Dollar Tree in Patchogue on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
A man entered the store, which is on the North Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just before 10 p.m. and displayed "what appeared to be a handgun," and demanded cash from an employee, according to police.
The employee complied, and the man ran away, police said.
No one was hurt.
Detectives from the 5th Squad in Patchogue are investigating.
