YAPHANK, NY — Long Island's two county executives will provide an update on emergency preparations for the nor'easter expected to impact the region this weekend during a press briefing in Yaphank on Friday.
National Weather Services say high winds, rain, and potential coastal flooding are expected.
Suffolk Executive Ed Romaine and Nassau Executive Bruce Blakeman will outline emergency response measures, coordination with municipalities, and important information for residents at Suffolk's Office of Emergency Management at noon.
The office is located at Suffolk's Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services building on East Avenue in Yaphank.
