• Man Shot, Killed At North Bellport Park: Police (patch.com) — A North Bellport man died after being shot at Robert Rowley Park on Patchogue Avenue, with officers rushing him to NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead. Suffolk County homicide detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information to contact them or Suffolk County Crime Stoppers.
   

• Nor'easter floods coastal communities, leaves thousands without power (trihamletnews.com) — Patchogue saw roughly three inches of rain during last weekend's powerful nor'easter, which drenched Suffolk County with up to six inches, strong winds, and coastal flooding. Nearby communities like Blue Point, Sayville, and Bayport faced street flooding and ferry disruptions, while more than 128,000 PSEG Long Island customers briefly lost power before service was largely restored by Monday night.
