Arrest Made in Suffolk County Bank Robbery

A 23-year-old man has been arrested for robbing a Suffolk County bank last week, police said.

Taylor Munoz, of Shirley, was arrested on Monday for a robbery that occurred at the Chase bank located at 425 William Floyd Parkway in Shirley on Dec. 14, police said.

According to police, Munoz entered the bank at about 4:10 p.m. and passed the teller a note that demanded money. The teller complied with his demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police said.

Munoz is charged with one count of third degree robbery. He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday.
