Baby Yoda-Wearing Robber Sprayed 'Unknown Irritant' On LI Gas Station Clerk: Cops

The beloved Star Wars Universe character hung from his black jacket as he swiped the cash register and booked it, cops say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Grogu would not approve.

A Baby Yoda-wearing robber sprayed a Patchogue gas station attendant with an unknown irritant and then swiped the cash register before making a run for it in Patchogue on New Year's Eve, Suffolk police said Wednesday.

The man, who was wearing a black jacket with the beloved Star Wars Universe character hanging from it, robbed OK Petroleum on East Main Street at around 5:40 a.m., according to police. The charm can be seen in a screen grab pulled from surveillance video.

The crime is being investigated as a grand larceny by Suffolk's 5th Squad in Patchogue.
