Cyberspace Web Series
New York based Production company Nohva Productions released their first web series Cyberspace. The 6-episode series follows 4 friends, Emma, Luke, Hunter, and Rachel, over a series of video-chats. The group finds out Emma’s neighbor recently committed suicide after receiving a string of threatening emails. Luke, Hunter, and Rachel think it’s some kind of prank and brush it off until Emma starts receiving the same type of emails. The series takes place over 5 days and was shot completely through video-chat giving the audience a first hand view of the terror unfolding.

The cast ranges from all across the country including: actress/singer Nemi Cepeda from New York, Chris Ploetz from West Virginia, Michel D. Finley from California, Mat Labotka from New York, Dominic Pacini from Michigan, and actress, writer, and director Jennifer Quaglio from Long Island. The series also features new music from Indie artists such as East Coast rapper/producer Cosmo, Australian singer Sparrows, Kansas band Not Like Igor, New York rapper Dave Langston, singing duo NEILK form Hungary, Skyway Traffic from Michigan, and singing duo Bombermenslug from San Diego. The web series is the first of its kind and was produced on a budget of 0 dollars.

“It’s something that has never been done in a web series form before. I really wanted to create something that my generation could relate to-we all use the internet and it has so much power. I wanted to evoke that eerie feeling in people and make them think twice before they click on something. You don’t know who you’re talking to on the internet […] We don’t know if this is a hacker, cyberspace bully, a stalker, a prank, or something evil form beyond the grave. Viewers will have to click and find out.”
