Bellport HS Girl's Track And Field 4 X 200m Relay Team Headed To State Champs

BELLPORT, NY — And, they're off.

Bellport High School girls' Varsity Track and Field 4 x 200 meter relay team is headed to the state Track and Field Championships on March 6 at the Ocean Breeze track facility in Staten Island, the South Country School District said.

They qualified with first-place win in Division 1 at the Section XI State Qualifiers in Brentwood recently.

To earn their spot, Ava Cooley, Shania Creary, Olivia Francis, and Arielle Ross crossed the finish line with a time of 1:48.57.

The district congratulated the team and "wishes them continued success at the state meet."
