Bellport Man 'Seriously Injured' In Brookhaven Crash: Suffolk PD
He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
BROOKHAVEN, NY — A 26-year-old Bellport man was seriously injured in a car crash in Brookhaven on Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
The man had been driving a 2017 Honda Accord that struck a tree on Montauk Highway across from Robinson Duck Farm County Park at about 2:20 p.m., police said. He had "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," according to police.
He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital by Shirley Ambulance and South Country Ambulance treated a witness who helped get the man out of the car, according to a post on South Country Ambulance's Facebook page.

Altogether, five agencies, including the Brookhaven and Bellport fire departments, responded to the scene.
The man's car was impounded for a safety check, police said.
