Blaze Breaks Out At Patchogue Home, Drawing Area Firefighters: Authorities

Arson Squad detectives are investigating, Suffolk police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A blaze broke out at a house in Patchogue, late Saturday night, drawing area firefighters to the scene, authorities said.

The fire broke out at the River Avenue home at around 11:51 p.m., and when officers arrived at the scene, they found the house fully engulfed in flames, according to police.

No one was hurt, police said.

The fire was extinguished by the Patchogue Fire Department.

Arson Squad detectives will investigate to determine the cause of the fire, according to police.

Altogether, seven agencies, including the Blue Point, North Patchogue, Hagerman, and Medford fire departments, responded to the fire, the Patchogue Fire Department said in a Facebook post. Patchogue Ambulance responded for firefighter rehab, the department said.

The scene was cleared at around 2:30 a.m., according to the department.
