Briarcliffe Men's Lacrosse beat University of Bridgeport 28-3

The Briarcliffe College men’s lacrosse team traveled across the Long Island sound Friday night for a conference match up versus The University of Bridgeport. The Bulldogs came off the bus ready to play as they scored their first goal four seconds into the game, and did not look back with a final score of 28-3 in just three quarters of the shortened game. Junior Santino Scalzo had a record breaking day at the “X” where he won an astounding twenty four out of the twenty six face-offs while his only two losses where do to procedures. Other big names from the game include sophomore Michael Moses, sophomore Brandon Andre, and freshman Richie Crawford. Moses and Andre tied on the day each getting 8 points while freshman Richie Crawford tallied a goal an assist in his first ever college game. Freshman goalie Wes Sullivan posted an impressive .700 save percentage raising his season high to .630. With this win Head Coach Donny Denning stays perfect in his coaching career against regular season conference opponents. The Bulldogs will look to continue their undefeated season Saturday April 18th at 7:00pm in Medford as they take on conference for University of New Haven.
