Brookhaven Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Sylvie

BROOKHAVEN, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions.

Meet Sylvie! She is a sweet and gentle girl who is looking for love. She was picked up stray by an Animal Control Officer. She has been waiting for her family to come in and find her but sadly that never happened. So here she sits homeless and alone, waiting for a new forever family to come in and fall head over heels for her. Sylvie loves everyone she meets, she loves to play with her toys and go outside but her favorite place of all is right next to you. If you are outside with her in the playpen and someone comes up to talk to you she gets herself right up in the conversation. She will sit right next to you and pay attention to every word. Sylvie has done well at the shelter with dogs but would prefer someone who is low key, she is not a fan of cats and would do best with kids over the age of 16. Sylvie is estimated to be about 8 - 10 years young, 52 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped and heart-worm negative.
