Calling all Akita lovers! Meet Zeus, this delightful senior is looking for a place to rest his head and a home to call his own. He arrived as a stray after being picked up by a Good Samaritan. He patiently waited for his family to come in and find him but sadly that could not happen for him. His family’s situation has changed and they are no longer able to care for him. His previous family told us that he is laid back actually a bit of a couch potato, he enjoys stuffed toys and pigs ears, he knows sit, paw and lay down. He is looking to be someone’s best friend, if you are in the market for a loyal and loving best buddy this is your guy. He is a social dog and wants to be with you all the time, at the shelter he is a bit anxious as he is still figuring things out, at 8 years old he should be in a home not a shelter trying to understand what happened. Zeus has met dogs at the shelter and has done well he is not a fan of cats and will need kids over the age of 12. He is 81 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heart-worm negative.
