EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A brush fire broke out in East Patchogue on Friday afternoon, Suffolk police said. It was reported near a dumpster by a building on Main Street at around 3 p.m., according to police. No injuries were reported.It was one of several fires firefighters battled on Friday.

Harmony Café is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing people together through wellness, nutrition education, and community programs.
Our Healthy Cooking Classes are open to anyone who wants to learn more about nutrition, healthy eating, and simple ways to add more plant-based foods into everyday meals. These free classes are made possible through a Whole Foods Foundation grant and are designed to be welcoming, educational, and hands-on.
Classes will be led by Sara Siskind and Heather Beahan, who both have strong backgrounds in nutrition and healthy cooking. Participants will learn practical cooking skills, nutrition tips, and affordable recipes they can make at home.
Each participant will prepare their own dish during class, allowing for a hands-on learning experience. Each class will also include cooking instruction, nutrition education, and a shared tasting experience.
