C.A.R. Cpt. AustinRoe Society and DAR in Medford Holiday Parade

C.A.R. Captain Austin Roe Society and DAR Col. Josiah Smith Chapter marched in the Medford Holiday Parade on December 2.

The Children of the American Revolution Captain Austin Roe Society and ladies from the Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter marched behind the Veterans in the Medford Holiday Parade on December 2. Heidi Nathan-Barry organized the children who carried the C.A.R. banner. The families enjoyed marching behind the Veterans and thanked them for their service. The children then enjoyed having their face painted, creating crafts, and warming up with hot chocolate provided by the Medford Fire Department.

The families and children support Veterans and children of the community year round. This season they supported Wreaths Across America in memory of Medford Veteran John Barry. The wreaths will be laid on Dec. 16 at noon at Calverton National Cemetery. We also collected food which went to the Veteran's Place food pantry.

If you think you are a direct descendent of somenone who provided service in the Revolutionary War, we would love to have you join us! Please contact Joan Nathan at darsamuelprice@gmail.com
